Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement Gets a Summer Upgrade!

Summer’s Here and So Are New Features in Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement!

The wait is over! The Summer ’24 Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement release is almost here, bringing exciting new features to help you take your customer interactions to the next level.

What’s New?

  • Streamlined Communication: You can now send non-marketing emails directly from Engagement Studio, even to opted-out prospects. This means smoother communication for important updates and operational messages.
  • Enhanced Asset Management: Marketing Cloud Account Engagement Growth edition users with Data Cloud can now transfer images to a Salesforce CMS workspace. This makes it easier to find and reuse visuals across different marketing initiatives, saving you time and effort.
  • Actionable Insights at Your Fingertips: Stay informed with a dedicated messaging section within the Account Engagement Optimizer. Here you’ll find alerts and feature recommendations tailored to your specific needs.
  • Deeper Data Access: The Account Engagement API version 5 brings a wave of improvements, including the ability to export relationships, create landing pages, and use bulk asset copy flows with forms.

Important Update Regarding Engage for Gmail

As Google sunsets Manifest V2 Chrome extensions, the Engage for Gmail extension will be retiring in June 2024. To ensure a smooth transition, we recommend creating a plan to move your Account Engagement users to the Account Engagement Sales Email & Alerts feature. This allows you to continue sending emails directly through Salesforce.

Seamless WhatsApp Integration

The release introduces a powerful new feature for businesses that leverage WhatsApp. You can now transfer a WhatsApp conversation from a Marketing Cloud Engagement interaction to a Service Cloud interaction. This allows you to seamlessly transition customer support inquiries from marketing to a dedicated service agent, providing a more connected customer experience. Ultimately, WhatsApp will help your business increase customer interactions.
